Relax your business will be there when you get back

Relax your business will be there when you get back

Yes you can go on vacation when you do direct sales.

I know you have  strict order schedule but this is what you do:

Let all your customers know you will be on vacation and when you will return.

Tell them that they are welcom to still place orders through you and tell them the week those orders will be delivered.

Leave a message on your outgoing voicemail noting that you will be out of town and the date you will return.

The say "Orders you place today will be delivered the week of ..." So they know they can place an order.

Then make certain you get all your catalogs out there before you leave.

When you get back deliver your orders ASAP and give your regulars to books:

1  that will expire in just a couple of days

and the next 1 that will not expire for 2 weeks

Make certain you have the right expiration date on both.

Change your outgoing voicemail to say you are taking orders for the back issue and the new issue.

Tell them to state whick book they are ordering from and tell them about when order will arrive.

To increase you internet direct sales orders place a sticker deal each book that tempts them to order online.

All of my labels say:  Free GIFT when you order at my site. And have my phone number and website.

This has increased online orders for me.

Now you can take your computer if you want but only limit yourself to 1 hour per day on the computer and set a timer. If your love or family think you are spending too much time on the computer YOU ARE!!! Do the most basics on the computer. Check email, pull advertising posts on classifieds to the top. DO NOT start any NEW projects! You are on vacation so you need to let your marketing be on autopilot as much as possible. Tell you online friends you are on vacation and talk about what you are doing while on vacation. KEEP IT SHORT.

OK those are my tips. BTW, I am going on vacation next Saturday!
